747 East Bethany Home Road
Association
Phoenix, Az 85011
The meeting began at 7:00 with board members Walt Fedourich. Terri Roberg, Kathi Kjolhede, Sherry Mara and Paul Phillips all in attendance.
The previous month's minutes were read and approved as well as the Treasurer's report.
Paul reported that the gas grills at the pool have been repaired and are fully functional. The repairs were necessary due to normal wear and tear, not abuse.
The large Eucalyptus trees on both the North and South ends of the complex have been removed. The company chosen did a very professional job in the removal and clean-up. The landscaping committee will now get estimates for a permanent replacement on the North. Much work has been done in sprucing up the common areas with bushes, plants and rock. Special thanks to Jan, Kathi, Agnes, Walt, Dave and Luke who now all have sore backs. You too can volunteer.
Sherri did a nice job putting together options for replacement pool furniture. The board approved the purchase 4 lounge chairs, 2 tables and 2 umbrellas for the pool area. Enjoy!
The reserve study was again discussed for the financing of maintenance and improvements for the Association. Because of its complexities, Paul will consult with a management company that deals with these in-depth studies and report back to the board. One issue that has been discussed is the inevitable replacement of the existing wooden fences. Walt will get estimates for both block and wooden options.
We all have things that we occasionally want to sell and buy. To that end, the board has decided to look into the cost and placement of a bulletin board in the pool area. To bad Republic/Gazette.
It's always nice to meet new people. Please welcome your new neighbors-Betty Kizer (#5831) and John Bonar (#5812).
Eleven ballots have not been received concerning issues on the standardization of colors throughout the complex. Your vote is important and necessary. Please complete and return with your April dues or sooner. Thank you in advance.
