Minutes for Board Meeting of June 5, 1997

 

We had a wonderful turnout for the June meeting and are grateful for all the input homeowners and renters contributed to the board.  We would all like to thank Walt & Judy Fedourich for the wonderful refreshments that they so kindly prepared.  Attendees: Walt & Judy Fedourich, Rosie O'Meara, Lucy & Ron Seegan, David Cronin, Marie Martel, Bill & Connie Sweeney, Paul Phillips, Jan Ehn, Betty Kaiser, Cleo Crimmins, Maryl Arman & Leigh Berg, Patty Banser, Bob Alvarez, Sherry & Seymour Adler and Henry Dunn.

 

1.       Rosie O'Meara is completing the bidding for complex repairs.  We should have 3 bids to consider by the next meeting.

 

2.       The slurry seal project discrepancies were resolved and the company has agreed to allowing costs of repainting 26 garage doors.

 

3.       Driveway lowering at 5821 has been estimated at $400 and was approved for completion.

 

4.       Thanks to Walt Fedourich for picking up new lounge chairs for the pool area.

 

5.       A large leak in the water main occurred over the Memorial Day weekend in front of 5809.  Rosie

O'Meara handled getting emergency repairs.  There still remains a need for blacktop repair at the site.

 

6.     The pool skimmers decided to malfunction and Rosie O'Meara has managed their repair.  Volunteers were solicited to keep the skimmer baskets emptied.  Jan Ehn, David Cronin and Ron Seegan all offered to help.  We all appreciate your offers.

 

7.       Bib leaks at outdoor faucets have all been repaired.

 

8.       Rosie O'Meara is preparing letters to request Cats Claw vine removal by certain owners.

 

9.       Palm tree trimming is scheduled for the week of June 12.  If you have a tree inside your property

that you would like trimmed at the same time (and at your expense), call Walt Fedourich (266-5581).  Many good suggestions were offered regarding the tree trimming schedule and will be investigated.

 

10.      The board will enforce the Fine System.  If you receive a notice, you must make requested changes in the time stated or be subject to a fine.

 

11.      There have been some complaints about the Cox Communications TV cable installations.  If you

are having a problem, call Paul Phillips (279-5287).

 

12.        We all offer our congratulations to newlyweds Lucy & Ron Seegan (5809), Sherry & Seymour

Adler (5836) and Toini & John Madrigal (5820).

 

 

REMINDER

The Board needs to update the resident/owner directory.  This is for the benefit of everyone who lives in the complex.  If an emergency occurs, we need to know how to reach you or a designated responsible party.  Will you all please take a minute to fill out the form below and return it to Rosie O'Meara at 5814 N. 8th PL.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
