Minutes for Board Meeting of December 4, 1997

 

Attendees:                Rosie O'Meara, John Bonar, David Cronin, Marie Martel, Jan Ehn, Donald, Jana and Rosalie Simmons, Lucy Seegan, Sherry and Seymour Adler and Eugenia Pang.

 

1.       Newell Construction has completed the balcony and repair work and it has been inspected by the Board.

 

2.       John Bonar has completed negotiations with US West regarding slurry seal repairs where they dug into our

streets.  Their subcontractor, Southwest Slurry Seal, will be doing that work soon.  Residents will be notified before the work begins and barricades will be placed to protect the reseal.

 

3.             John Bonar has also been busy bidding the driveway drainage repairs at 5806.  The job will go to Swaine Asphalt and will be done as soon as their schedule permits.

 

4.             Rosie O'Meara has sold the two trees for $300 that were given to us by APS as replacements for the two palm trees they removed at our entrance.  These funds will be added to our money market account help to defray our recent expenditures.

 

5.             Thanks to Mike Smith, who has volunteered to remove the old pillar stumps from the pool area.  Thanks also to David Cronin for keeping our light bulbs burning and for doing mailings and address labels for the Board.

 

6.             The Board has decided that it is time for a dues increase.  Please read the attached material and you will certainly be able to understand the reasons why this increase is necessary.

 

Beginning in January, 1998, monthly dues will be $125.00

 

7.       The Board approved the construction plans for carport storage cabinets at 5830.

 

8.       Christmas luminaries on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were approved.  Contact Rosie

The next meeting will be our

Annual Meeting and Election of Board Members for 1998.

 

It will be held on

Sunday, January 11, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. at the pool.

 

This is an important meeting affecting the future of our complex.
