Minutes for Board Meeting on April 19, 2000
Rosie
O'Meara, Marie Martel, David Cronin, Mike Smith, Rosa Lee Simmons, Nancy
Monaco, Shawna Davitt, Sherry and Seymour Adler and Paul Phillips.
1. The proposed widening of the
Bethany Home driveway has been cancelled due to excessive costs. There seems to be a new ordinance that
applies to new construction that would probably add at least $4000. to the
project. The Board feels that the cost
estimates are too prohibitive for our resources at this time. Mike Smith will paint a white stripe in the
front driveway to encourage everyone exiting the drive to keep way to the right
to allow any incoming vehicles enough room to enter. We thank Patty Banser and Mike Smith for their work researching this project.
2. Financial reports were
presented. We have four owners late
paying dues. Liens will be filed if any
of those owners become 90 days past due.
3. The new landscaping contractor was
discussed. Rosie will speak to him
about fertilizing and trimming shrubs to keep them from becoming
"leggy." Re-landscaping has been suggested for the area next to the
garage at 5839. Also, some plantings
are needed in front of 5830. If you
have comments or suggestions for the gardener, please call Rosie O'Meara at
277-7434.
4. Mike Smith is trying to find a
suitable "no-key" lock for the pool and the back gate. There have been too many lost and broken keys
lately. We'll keep you posted.
5. Rosie will contact the garbage collector
to try to have our collection days changed back to Mon. and Thurs. or at least
have pick-ups made earlier in the day.
6. The Board has decided to make a
concerted effort to move the sprinkler timers to common
area
walls.
7. The wall at 5833 (entrance) will be
repainted. Paul Phillips and Rosie
O'Meara plan to walk
the
complex and assess the need for spot repairs and painting.
NOTICE
Please try to keep far to the right when leaving the complex by the
front drive. That will make it
much safer and easier for those entering
to make the turn off Bethany Home Road.
The
next scheduled Board meeting is WEDNESDAY, MAY 17, 7 p.m. at the pool. All are welcome.
