Minutes for Board Meeting on August 23, 2000

Attendees:                Rosie O'Meara, Marie Martel, Nancy Monaco, Patty Banser, Shawna Davitt, Agnes Woodworth, Sherry and Seymour Adler and David Cronin.

1.             The new landscaper was discussed.  He is still getting things up to date, but Rosie will mention to him that weeds are a real problem and that the sprinkler system needs to be tested on a monthly basis.

2.             Financial reports were presented.  There is only one with dues delinquent and one under investigation.

3.             An individual battery operated timer on the sprinklers was installed at 5839.  It seems to be very satisfactory.  There is still a leakage problem on the common system at that address.  Mike O'Meara is due back in town soon and will hopefully be able to advise how to correct the problem.  Another individual system is needed at 5808.

4.             The cracks in the new pool deck were discussed.  Since our contract did not guarantee against cracks, and the decking is so new, Rosie intends to register a complaint to the Registrar of Contractors.

Rosie is planning to meet with our pool maintenance man and the Shasta Pool man to resolve the problem we are STILL having with air bubbles.

5.             The remaining proposed changes to the CC&Rs are not yet ready.  The remaining pages will be finished very soon and will be available for review by the Board and any other resident interested in participating.

6.             It was suggested that we remove the two old gas grills at the pool and install a propane unit.  This would save about $200 per year.  Since we now pay mostly for basic service, we will be able to discontinue gas service to the common areas altogether.  The plan was unanimously approved.

7.             It was decided to register a formal complaint against 5811 to paint or remove the big black pipe on the front of the building since several verbal suggestions have been ignored.
