747 EAST BETHANY HOME ROAD ASSOCIATION

Minutes for Board Meeting of March 23, 2000

ATTENDANCE: Rosie O'Meara, Mike Smith, Nancy Monaco, Patty Banser, David

Cronin, Agnes Woodworth, and Lisa Rehurek

I.     The Board wanted to emphasize that NO estate, garage or yard sales are allowed in the complex.  The discussion came about after the family cleaning up the residence at 5833 held a sale and blocked the front driveway with cars.  This is a fire lane and the Association could be fined if the fire department were to visit us for any reason.

2.    The Board thanked Mike Smith for installing four solar lights on each side of the driveway entrance, thus enabling residents to easily see the entrance at night.

3 .   There was a brief discussion on painting a center white stripe down the middle of the front driveway to visually divide the incoming from the outgoing cars.  This is hoped that people exiting will bear more to the right to allow room for incoming cars.  It was suggested that the speed bump also will be stripped.  The Board approved both measures.

4.    It was noted that recent rains have raised complaints by residents that their back doors or doors leading into their garages are warping.  This is the owners' responsibility.  Gutters, flashing and drainpipes as well as fiberglass door replacements were suggested as future alternatives to the problem.  Mike Smith can be contacted for more information.

5.    A report of homeowners whose dues are in arrears was given by Mike Smith.

6.    Mike Smith, treasurer, reported that he has transferred $3,000 from checking into savings, and expects that this amount of transfer can be done about every 2  months barring any major outlay which isn't expected.  We now have $7,262 in our savings.  He also said he didn't see any major problems or expense as a result of the Wells Fargo and Norwest merger.

7.    It was noted that Mike O'Meara, our landscaper, has moved with his wife to Missouri.  George Goepfert, who worked occasionally with Mike, has taken over the job.  As long as the Board is satisfied with his work, he can remain on the job at the same salary as Mike O'Meara.
