Minutes to Board Meeting on May 17, 2000
Attendees: Rosie O'Meara, Marie Martel, David
Cronin, Mike Smith, Rosa Lee Simmons, Nancy Monaco, Shawna Davitt, Agnes
Woodworth and Patty Banser.
1. The proposed widening of the Bethany
Home driveway has been re-addressed with a different approach. It has been suggested that the driveway be
widened on the east side, all on our property, to correspond with the existing curbing. This would not require permits, but would still allow more
turning space for cars entering in off Bethany Home Road. Bids are being taken for this project.
2. Financial reports were presented. We have two owners late paying their
dues. Liens will be filed (at owners
expense) against any owners who are 90 days past due.
3. The sprinkler system was
discussed. A committee will meet with
the landscaper to re-time the operating at 4 a.m. and 9 p.m. and to run for a longer time. Mike Smith is working to move timers that
are inside individual patios to common areas.
4. A suitable "no-key" lock for
the pool and the back gate has not been located. The Board has approved a $25 charge for new keys, to be refunded
when returned. If a new tenant requests
a key, there will also be a $25 deposit, refundable when key is returned. If a key is broken, there will be a $10
replacement charge, provided that the pieces are turned in.
5. The garbage collection days are
changed to Tuesdays and Fridays and pick-up times are scheduled for earlier in
the day.
6. New pool furniture was recommended. Agnes Woodworth and Rosie O'Meara will shop
for best price and styles.
7. The CC&R amendments are nearing
completion and will soon be ready for owner comments before going to the
attorney.
8. It is time for palm tree
trimming. It was also suggested to have
the large Eucalyptus tree on Palo Verde topped out and thinned.
9. Unsightly black drain pipe at 5811 to be
addressed.
NOTICE
Please take in your trashcans as soon after collection as possible.
Trash cans are to be kept INSIDE patio areas, and are not permitted
in carports where they are visible from the common areas.
Also, those residents with dogs:
Be sure to always clean up after your pet.
The
next scheduled Board meeting is WEDNESDAY, JUNE 14, 7 p.m. at the pool.
