Minutes for
Board Meeting on November 15,2000
Attendees: Rosie O'Meara, Marie Martel, Michael
Ricci, Nancy Monaco, Patty Banser, Agnes
Woodworth, Sherry and Seymour Adler, Rosa Lee
Simmons, Shawna Davitt, David Cronin and Mike
Smith. Also attending were two supervisors from
Shasta Pools.
1. Shasta Pools has agreed to repair the water leveler, which has
not been functioning properly since they repaired it. They have also agreed to make repairs of the cracks in the
decking. Work will probably take 5 days and will begin on November
27. The Board has agreed to cancel the
complaint filed with the Registrar of Contractors. The complaint can be reopened for up to two years if the work is
not satisfactorily and timely completed.
2. Financial reports were presented. There are seven owners with dues delinquent. Mike attributes many of the delays to the
Veterans Day holiday. Remember, a late
charge is levied if dues are not received by the 10th of the month.
We are building up our
reserves with the hope to paint exteriors of all the buildings next year.
3. The proposal to rent a few parking spaces from Crown Florist
has been turned down by them. Visitors
may still park on Palo Verde Street or, after business hours, in the Crown
Florist or 727 East Bethany Offices parking lots. There's also Checker parking lot across the street. Please advise all your visitors that PARKING
IN THE FIRE LANES IS PROHIBITED. If you
see an illegally parked car, please call Phoenix Police at 262-6151 to have it
ticketed or towed.
4. Last summer's clean-up day was such a success that it was
suggested that we have another resident "Clean-Up and Paint-Up"
day. We need lots of volunteers! The fire lane striping needs to be
redone. Some plant replacements need to
be made and general trimming and cleanup work is needed. All supplies will be provided. It is a fun way to meet and mix with your
neighbors while helping to improve our complex. And we'll provide lunch at the pool. ( If you'd like to
contribute a favorite dish, feel free!) Mike Smith has volunteered to make dump
runs, so if you have trash to dispose of, bring it out on that day. Please mark your calendars ... Saturday,
December 9 starting about 8:00 a.m. Come when you can.
