Minutes for
Board Meeting on February 21, 2001
Attendees: Marie Martel, Michael Ricci, Nancy
Monaco, Patty Banser, Rosa Lee Simmons, David Cronin, Mike Smith, Walt Fedourich, Shawna Davitt and Agnes
Woodworth.
1. Shasta Pools has replaced
the broken umbrella bases in the pool area.
2. Water bills still
continue to soar. There was a
suggestion to convert all landscaping to desert
type and cut off the
landscaping water. There were several
objections to the idea. It was agreed
to turn off the sprinkler portion of the meters and try to determine how much
of our usage is attributable to landscaping.
Michael Ricci, Walt Fedourich, Patty Banser and Shawna Davitt
volunteered to do the monitoring. We
then will have a better idea what part of our expenses are due to that usage.
We then can make a better decision. The
City of Phoenix will test water pressure and install pressure valves at no cost
to us if it is determined that they are needed. Mike Smith will investigate
moving the timer control box at 5839 outside to the common area.
3. Financial reports were
presented. There are four owners with
delinquent dues.
4. Our insurance agent has
notified us of a large increase in premiums.
Mike Smith is taking
three bids for a replacement
policy. A special Board meeting will be
called to review those bids when they are received.
5. A proposal for garbage
collection by a different company was tabled.
It was the consensus that our present contractor is doing a good job.
6. A hole in the east wall
was caused by our next door neighbors and they have agreed to repair and paint
it at their expense.
7. A question of parking in
the fire lane at 5838 was raised. It
was determined that those vehicles be treated as vendors since they are there
to perform service to the residents.
NOTICE
Please try to conserve
water.
All garbage containers must
be kept INSIDE patio areas or garages
so that they are not visible
from the common areas.
If yours
is not in compliance, please move it to avoid incurring a fine.
The next scheduled Board
meeting is Wednesday, March 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the pool area.
