Minutes for Board Meeting on November 14, 2001

Rosie O'Meara, Rosa Lee Simmons, Michael Ricci, Mike Smith, Patty Banser, Marie Martel, Brian Hanna, Agnes Woodworth, Jan Ehn and Nancy Monaco,

1. Tree trimming has been completed,

2. Water has been turned back to once a day.  It was suggested and approved that the small grass

lawn near 5818 be removed and graveled when we do our re-graveling and winter cleanup.

3. Several shrubs need to be replaced.  Rosie had a quote from the gardener for $10. per shrub to purchase and plant.  Marie Martel and Rosie O'Meara will. survey the property and compile a list of plants and locations in need.  Also, it was decided to notify the gardener that sprinklers are to be tested at least once a month to insure that all shrubs are getting water.

4. A complaint about cable wiring at 5802 will be handled by Rosie.

5. There is a water leak in the driveway at 5818 that has to be repaired.

6. Volunteers were requested to replace burned out bulbs throughout the complex.  Nancy

Monaco and Patty Banser responded.

7. Financial reports were submitted.  Our expenses have risen beyond our intake of dues and it is inevitable that we have a dues increase.  Also, painting the complex will add considerable financial burden on our Association. (Initial quotes were $39,000-$43,000) Many suggestions and alternatives were discussed and it was finally decided that the Board would compose a letter stating the facts and offer several choices to the owners as to how they want to solve these difficulties.  All owners will get this letter sometime after our December meeting.

8. Mike Smith proposed testing the cross-over between our water meters to see if there would be enough pressure to cut off the irrigation meter from our potable meter, thus saving a large sewer assessment.  Also, we thank Mike for the new front driveway lights.  Let's hope the vandals can't find a way to damage these!

TWO NOTICES

1. Volunteer Day will hopefully be held in mid-January.

We will be asking for volunteers to help spruce up the common areas,

trim, rake, spread new gravel, etc.  We had a fine turnout last year

and everyone enjoyed a cookout afterwards.

Please think about volunteering ... we need all the help we can get!

2. Dog owners: please remember to carry cleanup materials with you,

and USE them, when you walk your dog.

The next scheduled Board meeting is Wednesday, December 19 at 7:00 p.m. in the pool area.
