 Minutes for Board Meeting on August 21,2002

Attendees: Kari Root, Michael Ricci, Patty Banser, Marie Martel, Walt Fedourich, Brian Hanna and Nancy Monaco.

1. Apache Plumbing, who detached the crossover to our landscape water meter has yet failed to obtain necessary permit and city inspection, so his payment has been deferred. We will be able to accurately track water usage for landscaping while this problem exists.

2. Landscaping along the west wall is under way. Water lines have been installed. Plants and rocks are awaiting placement.

3. Kari Root presented financial statements. Four owners are delinquent with dues.

Kari suggested that all owners who reside in the complex use the Association mailbox on the east wall of  the garage at 5815. There have been a few problems with the Post Office box as of late.

4. The Architectural Committee mailed out 15 letters on August 12th to homeowners who have viola­tions needing attention. They have been given until October 1st to correct the problems. The Committee has another walk-through inspection scheduled for October 19th.

The new approved trim color is Crete Semi Gloss. You don't have to change colors unless you change out a door or just want to paint one. If you do, contact Walt Fedourich (266-5581) and he will supply you with the necessary paint.

5. We are planning a Pot Luck Lunch for Sunday, October 20th. If you'd like to volunteer to bring your special food dish, call Patty Banser at 650-1134. She will coordinate the menu. Kari Root, our Block Watch Representative has lined up two speakers for that day and it should be very informative, so mark your calendars and plan to attend. Let's get to know our neighbors!

6. We are soliciting names and phone numbers of reliable plumbers, electricians, handymen, gardeners, etc. If you have a contractor that you are happy with, why not share him with the other owners? Call Walt Fedourich at 266-5581 with your recommendations.

7. The Board is attempting to keep the Homeowner Directory up to date. If you have a telephone number change or want to submit your e-mail address, call Marie Martel at 266-7997 or e-mail to memorrie @ AOL.com

Remember, if you do not like something in this Association the way it is—almost everything can be changed by vote of the members. This is your Association and your home. GET INVOLVED!

DOG DAYS

There have been complaints lately about odors from dog excrement. The heat and humidity seem to enhance the problem. It was suggested that if you keep a dog, you may want to spread wood chips from the garden store. It makes clean-up easy and sanitary. After clean up, you may want to use Odorzout spray from Petsmart to put on the finishing touch.

The next scheduled Board meeting is Wednesday. September 18 at 7:00 P.M. in the pool area.
