Minutes for Board Meeting on March 27, 2002

Attendees:

Marie Martel, Michael Ricci, Nancy Monaco, Linda Knight, Walt Fedourich, Betty Kizer, Karen Root, Rosie O’Meara, Brian Hanna, Jan Ehn, Patty Banser and Rosa Lee Simmons.

1.Michael Ricci reported on the water usage in the complex with a detailed presentation. Discussion followed and it was decided to test the actual water pressure by shutting off the 1-1/2” meter for one week, beginning on Monday, April 1. The intent is to eliminate the crossover and avoid paying sewer assessment on one meter. If anyone notices a water pressure problem during the test week, please call Rosie O’Meara (277-7434).

2. The broken landscaping water supply line through the center of the complex was discussedonce again. After taking a poll of

those affected, it was decided to abandon the line.

3. Jan Ehn reported on the landscaping plan for the west wall. The Board budgeted $300 to start the work. Thanks to Walt,

Judy and Rosie for cleaning and painting the wall.

4. Betty Kizer submitted a financing plan for the liquid ceramic alternative to painting and the Board turned it down due to the

agreement requirements. Another traditional painting estimate was submitted. Rosie will get references and properties

completed so we can check them out.

5. Financial reports were presented. We have one homeowner with dues delinquent.

6. The olive trees in front will be sprayed within the next two weeks.

7. A reminder.. the Association’s locked mailbox is on the east wall of 5815’s garage.

NOTICE’S

A fire was recently avoided by an alert resident who smelled heat and traced it to electrical plug of his dryer.

The plug was corroded and the insulation melted. So it would be prudent for all residents to check their dryer plugs.

And don’t forget to always empty the lint filter. That also is a potential fire hazard.

The next scheduled Board meeting is Wednesday, April 24 at 7:00 PM in the pool area.
