747 EAST BETHANY HOME ROAD ASSOCIATION

MINUTES FOR JULY 21, 2004 BOARD MEETING
1. The financial report was reviewed and Mike Ricci suggested that 2500 dollars be moved into savings and this was approved by the board.
2.There were only 2 households that expressed an interest in recycling and 1 of those households has since moved. The primary concern was the expense but also the storage problem of another garbage can, therefore recycling will not be considered at this time.
3.The landscaping that was done at 5806 has unfortunately died due to a fungus in the soil, that apparently likes to eat Hibiscus plants so other plant options were suggested and lantana will probably be planted as it is hardier
4.The homeowner at 5808 sent a letter with concerns about the exterior of their home. Walt and Paul will take a look and evaluate the problem.
5.There was some confusion regarding the garbage schedule this past 4th of July so just as a reminder the garbage pickup schedule this year is always on Monday and Thursday regardless of a holiday with the exception of Thanksgiving and garbage pickup will be the Friday after.
6.Paul Phillips brought up the subject of who is responsible for painting of garage doors and as determined in the past it is the homeowners responsibility for maintenance and replacement of garage and exterior doors . However, when the Association paints the entire complex, then of course all the door painting will be done by the Association. The HOA will supply the paint in the approved color to anyone wishing to paint their doors in the interim time.
7. Just a reminder that the monsoons are upon us so if you are at the pool in the afternoon or evening please close the umbrellas when leaving the pool area and always close the gate behind you.
8.A community walk thru is planned for September to see how to beautify the property and to evaluate necessary maintenance. Everyone is invited to participate! A date will be announced at the August meeting.
9 .Paul Phillips provided a copy of new legislation for HOA’S to the Board so that they might stay current with the ever changing Arizona Revised Statutes.
THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE ON WEDNESDAY AUGUST 18, 2004 AT THE POOL AT 7 PM. EVERYONE IS ALWAYS WELCOME TO ATTEND AND SHARE THEIR OPINIONS AND IDEAS. WE HAVE SEVERAL NEW RESIDENTS IN OUR COMMUNITY AND A BIG WELCOME IS EXTENDED TO THEM.
