Date:                                      September 28, 2005

Present:                                WALT FEDOURICH, KARI ROOT, AGNES WOODWORTH, NANCY MONACO, JAN EHN, SHERRY ADLER and    PATTY BANSER

At    7:00P.M. the meeting was called to order.

Old Business:

Kari will investigate obtaining competing insurance quotes for insurance on the complex and investigate ways to reduce insurance costs without reducing necessary coverage.

We were reminded that water is one of our largest expenses and that residents should try to conserve it in order to save money and to help conserve this scarce desert resource.

Walt has secured two bids from painting contractors for the painting of the exterior of our buildings.  He will secure one or two more bids before presenting his results to the board.

Trees By Mike cut down the two pine trees on the side of 5812.  Several smaller replacement trees will soon be planted when the weather cools down.

New Business:

The Eucalyptus tree near the south side of 5802 was discussed.  Options discussed included removing it, trimming it, or making the tree a part of the 5802 homeowner’s side yard and therefore making it her responsibility to maintain it.

The Ficus tree in front of 5801 was discussed.  It was reported that the tree is extremely messy and causing the sidewalk to buckle.  Walt volunteered to obtain estimates for removing this tree

The homeowners living at 5817 requested that they be allowed to replace their arched, second floor window with a rectangular dual pane window and appropriate stucco modification/repair.           The board approved this request.

We were reminded to lock the back gate.  It has been left unlocked recently.

Looking for a parking space?   There are actually 19 unused spots in neighbor’s driveways and carports. If you get to know your neighbors…….they just might let you use some of these spots.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 P.M.

The next board meeting will be on October 19, 2005 at 7:00 P.M.
