Minutes for Board Meeting on August 15, 2007

Attendees were: Walt Fedourich, Marie Martel, Patty Banser, Nancy Monaco, John Bonar, Eugene Morin, Ron Carpio and Jan Ehn

1. The Treasurer's report was presented. There are four owners still late with dues and/or late charges

2. John Bonar presented bids for the south gate. He searched many options and it was decided that we go with a double swing roadway gate with a pedestrian gate. The bid from Phoenix Fence was approved for $4,422. Work is expected to start immediately and installation will follow very soon. Thanks to John for all his hard work.

3. The Board (and all residents) also wish to thank Walt Fedourich for using his vacation time (in 100⁰ heat) to dig up the old water lines in the south entrance area. It has saved the Association lots of money.

4. The Board discussed the future landscaping needs for the south entrance and decided that four trees should be planted there. If anyone wishes to suggest tree types, please bring a picture and growing specifications to the next Board meeting in September. It was also suggested that Pyracantha be planted inside the wall next to Crown Imports to thwart climbers from entering.

5. Insurance policies were again discussed and it was decided to table this issue until next year after our anniversary date and then to entertain presentations from competing agents.

Very soon, there will be workmen around our south entrance.

When you see them there, PLEASE use the Bethany Home entrance.

The next scheduled Board meeting is Wednesday, September 19th at 7:00 p.m. in the pool area.
