Report from your Board of Directors as of March 22, 1988

According to the membership preference vote taken at the General Meeting on Feb. 21, 1988, the Board has proceeded with the landscaping project. A landscape architect has been hired to produce a plan which will allow a cohesive transition from one year to the next since the scope and expense of the project cannot be completed in one year. The future dumpster locations will be planned into the landscaping plan and completed in phase, since BFI has granted us a substantial reduction in rates to continue garbage collection in the present manner. This landscape plan will be presented at a General Meeting in the near future.

A new gardener/handyman has been hired in conjunction with the landscaping project.

THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT FOR 1988 WILL BE $300.00 PER UNIT, DUE AND PAYABLE ON OR BEFORE SEPTEMBER 1, 1988. It is imperative that we all cooperate in getting these assessment payments in on time because certain landscaping/planting operations must be done at specific times in the season to insure that all plants and trees survive.

Another new service the Association offers is exterminating, at the very discounted rate of $7.00 per unit if performed at the time of regular common area service. Our first "treatment" is scheduled for Saturday, April 9, 1988 between Noon and 2 p.m. If you wish your unit to be sprayed at this time, please put your name & address in the mailbox near the pool or contact Marie Martel before Sat. (266‑7997)

Our recent request for information to publish a 747 Directory was somewhat disappointing. The Board feels that a directory would be particularly beneficial in case someone needs to contact an owner or tenant to report a fire, burglary, vandalism, etc. We have enclosed another form. Please consider filling it out and returning it with your next dues payment or put it in the mailbox near the pool.

We regret that we have lost two members of the Board due to job transfer (and promotions) We thank Tom and Jane Shehan for their work on our behalf and wish then well. Two new Board members have been appointed to fill out these terms. Our Board of
