747 East
Bethany Home Road Association
Minutes of Board meeting on October 27, 1992. Present were
Walt Fedourich, Paul Phillips, Cleo Crimmins and Marie Martel.
Treasurer's report was given. No unexpected emergency
repairs occurred this month.
Liens
were discussed. The improvement project for our next building was discussed.
Garage doors will be ordered for that building. Block work will be scheduled as
soon as possible and gates will be ordered. This building has several slatted
sunshade patio roof covers and all seem to be in need of repair/replacement of
certain boards. Those effected owners will be notified that the Association
will be painting very soon and that they should make appropriate repairs
promptly. Walt will also get prices to replace shade roof in pool area.
Association
insurance policies were discussed for possible bidding but it was decided that
since our rates have not increased, that it was practical to remain with
American Home Insurance.
Garbage removal was discussed. A lower bid was received but
the company is unproven, so we decided to stay with BFI. It was suggested that
perhaps we could get our pickup days changed to avoid Mondays, since so many
holidays now fall on Monday. Walt will inquire. In the meantime, pickups will
still be Monday and Friday. PLEASE, if you use a garbage can instead of plastic
bags, REMOVE them from the common area view without delay. It makes a very
unkempt look to have garbage cans sitting about for a day or two.
Discussion
about changing pool water supply to irrigation water meter resulted in Walt and
Cleo agreeing to get estimate of how much of a savings would be realized. And
Paul will get estimates to make the plumbing change, if it is decided to make
the alteration.
Dimension
Cable has been notified that all installations have to be approved by the Board
and those already made must be corrected to be acceptable. Paul Phillips will
monitor.
Welcome to new owners at 5838. . Gene and Audrey Smith, and
new owners at 5809. . Ken and Teresa Roberg.
And congratulations to new grandmother, Suzanne Bracker.
She has a new grandson.
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING GAS
METERS
Do not
turn your gas off at the meter when you don't need the fuel. Turn it off at the
heater site. The gas meter must remain pressurized to work properly, and if you
turn off the gas at the meter, the gas company will remove the meter for
recalibration.
