Minutes of Board of Directors meeting on December 14,1993... Attending were Walt Fedourich, Paul Phillips, Cleo Crimmins, Terry Roberg and Marie Martel.

Treasurer's report was given. All owners are up to date with dues except one. Unusual expenses for the past month were $254 for a new pool pump and $60 for planting the winter lawns.

A new larger street sign has been installed at the Bethany Home entrance.

There was a long discussion regarding the improvements at 5830. It was decided, since the alterations were made without the required submission of plans and Board approvals, that the Board will require an architect's or licensed contractor's letter of certification that the building alterations do not in any way affect the soundness of the structure before the Association can be expected to maintain that building. Walt will pursue. The discussion also raised the question of conformity to the approved exterior paint colors and it was decided that the matter will be brought before .the entire Association membership.

The matter of the colors of screen doors, security doors, lamps, mailboxes, etc was also addressed and, again, it was decided to bring this matter before the entire membership for decisions.

Paul is still trying to get bids for the repair of the gas line leak to the pool barbeques..

The recycling of Christmas trees was proposed and anyone desiring to volunteer to help move them to a recycling location is asked to call Cleo Crimmins, 274-9554. If you want to take care of your own tree, the nearest recycling locations listed below will be accepting trees between 9 am and 4 pm on Jan. 8 and 9.

• Los Olivos Park, 28th Street & Devonshire

• Reposo Park, 7th Street & Alta Vista

We wish to thank the volunteers who distributed and tended our luminarias again this year. It sure made the complex festive over Christmas. We thank: Mike O'Meara, Agnes Woodworth, Kathy & Luke Kjolhede, David Cronin, Walt Fedourich, Jan Ehn and her roommate, Eileen.

While we're congratulating, we'd like to pass on best wishes to new parents, J.R. and Theresa Baker (5810) who had a baby girl.

The Annual Meeting and elections will be held poolside on Sunday, January 16 at 2 pm. It is important to have as many people as possible participate in the affairs of our complex. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend.
