Minutes for Board Meeting of
December 17, 1998
Attendees: Rosie O'Meara, Marie Martel,
Agnes Woodworth, David Cronin, Betty Kizer, Rosa Lee, Don & Jana Simmons,
and new owners Justin & Jennifer Maze (5834) and Rosemary Smith (5820).
1.
Tree trimming/removal and vine removal has been arranged by Rosie O'Meara. The overall cost is $350,
but
affected owners who have problems within their patios will pay their portion of
the costs.
2.
Fire lane painting is proceeding. It is
a slow, exacting process. PLEASE
OBSERVE THESE NO
PARKING
AREAS or you will be subject to a fine and/or possible towing. It is important for the safety of all of us
that the Fire Lanes be observed!
3.
Lien on 5820 has been satisfied. Our
new treasurer is working diligently to bring our records up to date. She should have a financial statement and
next year's budget ready for our Annual Meeting next month.
4.
David Cronin will be delivering address labels for your use in paying Homeowner
Dues next year. Thanks to David for
providing this service to make our lives simpler.
5.
A leaking ceiling was viewed at Mike Smith's unit (5817) which he claims to be
a structural problem. The Board will
reexamine the exposed area to determine if it involves load bearing beams. If it proves to be a structural problem, the
Association will pay for structural repair according to the CC&RS. Mike will be responsible for inside repairs.
6.
Old removed lantern fixtures have still not been sold. It was suggested that we try Brunk's
Auction. Rosie & Mike will follow
up.
7.
An increase in pay was approved for the President and Treasurer to $100/month. Also, a payment (for the first time ever) to the Secretary of
$50/month was approved.
8.
Agnes Woodworth reported that the clerestory window frame of her unit (5835)
needs repairs. Mike Smith will
evaluate.
9.
We welcome new owners: Judy Farmer (5806), Megan Shorb (5809), Rosemary Smith
(5820) and Justin & Jennifer Maze (5834).
10.
Christmas party was cancelled due to Rosie's health problems.
The
next meeting will be our
ANNUAL MEETING
and
election of the Board for 1999
Sunday, January 24, 1999
2 p.m. at the pool
(If
it's raining, meeting will be at 5824).
This
is an important meeting and all homeowners are
urged
to attend.
