Minutes for Board Meeting of March 12, 1998
Attendees: Rosie O'Meara, Agnes
Woodworth, Marie Martel, Jan Ehn, John
Bonar, Walt Fedourich, Mike
Smith and Robin Shearer. Also Jerry Bartlett from Aware Security,
Inc.. and two supervisors from Bonneville
Construction (the subcontractors
for US West) who have been digging in our streets, were at the meeting..
1. The Bonneville Construction men advised the Board that their
contract with US West calls for simply patching the trenches they have dug. They have given Rosie O'Meara names at US
West to call to protest that we deserve to have our streets redone to put them
back to their original condition betore all the digging and patching occurred.
2.
Downspout extension at 5834 is being specially manufactured to compensate for
the unusual configurations
of
that drainage problem.
3.
Rosie O'Meara reported that termite inspections will soon be conducted by
Terminex. These will
be
scheduled for a Saturday, since inspectors will need access into the
units. You will be notified in advance so that You can arrange for
soneone to be at home.
4.
Robin Shearer introduced Jerry Bartlett of Aware Security, Inc., who made a
presentation of available security systems.
This company will give a 20% discount if we have at least 4 owners
contract for security systems. If you

Fire lane painting in the roadways his obviously been tabled. In the meantime, please be careful not to
park in the streets - for safety's sake.
6.
Mike Smith reported that he contacted the City of Phoenix regarding the sewer
tax assessment they levied against us.
They claim that in cases of heavy usage, our landscaping water is
transferred to our regular water supply to compensate, and is therefore
subject to the sewer- tax. The
have agreed to monitor the usage involved
and adjustt the tax due.
REMINDER
Since
all the digging in the complex, several water pipes have been broken.
Please
help us to keep water loss to a minimum by reporting any leaking you may
notice,
either by underground pipes or damaged sprinkler heads.
