Minutes for Board Meeting on April 22, 1999

Attendees: Rosie O'Meara, Marie Martel, Agnes Woodworth, Rosa Lee Simmons, Jan Ehn and Justin Maze.

There wasn't a quorum of Board members at the meeting, so we just had discussions on subjects until a canvas of Board members could vote on the subjects necessary.

1. Resurfacing on the pool has begun by Shasta Pools.  Work is expected to be completed within two weeks.

2. Tree removal at 5812 has been tabled for the time being.

3. Fire lane painting is running behind schedule.  Justin Maze wanted to eliminate red lines in front of

carports and garages, but it was explained to him that those are the Fire Department's regulations.  Please continue to observe the "No Parking" in fire lanes signs.

4. Bids by four landscaping companies were reviewed.  The company chosen was Cal Cowles for a fee of $750./month on a 30-day 2-way cancellation contract.

5. The Treasurer's report was not available since Stefani was out of town.  One will be ready for the

May meeting.

6. Rosie O'Meara and Mike Smith attended a seminar called Community Associations in the Millennium on April 16.

It was conducted by Mulcahy Law Firm that specializes in condominium associations.  They found it very

informative.  We need to begin gathering information for the rewriting of our CC&RS.  Our  documents are

over 25 years old and there are many inapplicable items included as well as some that contradict new Federal

laws.  We will be using guidelines that Rosie and Mike got at the seminar to begin drafting an outline for

 new CC&Rs and By-Laws.

7. Agnes Woodworth needs her clerestory window frame repaired because she soon plans to go north for the summer.  Mike Smith plans to make repairs within the next week.

IMPORTANT REMINDER

If you have suggestions or questions regarding the rewrite of

the CC&RS, we encourage you to voice your concerns and ideas.

Why not plan to attend the Board meetings each month?

We will be working toward having a composite of all ideas

ready to present to the Attorney early next year.

The next Board meeting will be on Thursday, May 20th, 7 p.m. at the pool.
