747 East Bethany Home Road Association

Board Minutes-August 17, 1994

The meeting began at 7:00 with all of the current board members with the exception of Sherry Mara being in attendance. The minutes were reviewed and the Treasurer's report was given. Terrie wanted to thank everyone for mailing dues as opposed to dropping them off. She also reported that 37 of the 38 dues were received by the tenth. Again, thank you!

Old Business: * Units requesting repair to their interior fences were received and the work completed. Also several windows requiring new trim was done. * Work will begin very shortly in the replacement of the East wall. Also, Paul has made contact with the adjacent complex and received a letter with some of their concerns. These issues will be addressed and hopefully the outcome being them paying a portion of the cost. * Bids for the resurfacing and striping of the roadway are still being sought.

New Business: * Not too much going on in the old neighborhood, it's too hot!

Board's Bit of Info:

Unfortunately, we had a couple of our neighbors that had there homes broken into last week. In one instance, the door was kicked in even though there was a dead bolt lock. There is an easy inexpensive way to make the dead bolt locks much more effective. Simply use 3" screws instead of the short ones that secure the lock part to the door jamb. In doing this the lock is attached to the house structure not just the door frame. (See diagram). Let's all please keep our eyes open and utilize the Block Watch information.

The next meeting is scheduled for September 20th at 7:00.
