Board Minutes-December 13, 1994

The meeting began with a full complement of board members being present. The previous month's minutes and treasurer's report were given and approved.

Old Business:

*Paul reported that a final bid for the re-sealing/striping of the roadway is due later this week. The bids will be reviewed and further action taken by the Board at an upcoming meeting.

*Thanks again to the "Flower Children" Sherry, Kathi, Robin and Walt for their work involved in the planting of additional plants in the front portion of the complex. *Thanks to Paul for painting over the graffiti at our entrance and Luke for installing the One-Way sign in the rear. New Business:

* Our newest neighbors, Ghazwan and Jeanette Kahwaji have working hard renovating their new home-Unit 5806. They had requested that they be allowed to put in a greenhouse window. The project received board approval. We wish to welcome them to the EBHRA family.

*The Board also approved the color choice for unit 5825's new awning. In addition, the Board approved funds for David Cronin to again print return labels for all current Association dues payers.

*NOTE: Please make plans to attend the Annual Meeting scheduled for 4:00, Sunday January 15. It is crucial that we have a forum to elect new officers for the upcoming year and to raise and discuss pertinent issues that affect us all. The following are among the topics to be discussed: 1) The auditing of the books as mandated by the CC&R's 2) Fire lane regulations, parking violations and possible repercussions 3) Other projects which may involve major expenditures As an owner and member of the Association, your thoughts and ideas are important. Please make every effort to attend. By the way, goodies will be served.

There will be a brief Board meeting following the Annual Meeting for the new and former Board members.

The Board wants to wish you and yours a joyous and safe holiday season and a prosperous new year!

Bits of Info: Don't toss that tree; recycle instead.

Phoenix residents can recycle Christmas trees from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 7 and 8, at several city parks. The closest one for us being Madison Park at Glenrosa and 16th St. Each park will have collection bins, trucks or chippers to convert trees into mulch for ground cover on city projects. The service, sponsored by the city of Phoenix and Phoenix Clean and Beautiful is free to Phoenix residents who drop off one tree.

To donate a living tree to beautify a park or school, call the Parks, Recreation and Library Department at 262-6386.
