747 East Bethany Home Road Association
Board Minutes-November 15, 1994
The meeting began with the presenting of the previous month's minutes and treasurer's report and approved by a full complement of board members.
Old Business:
*Special thanks to Sherry Mara, Jan Ehn, Kathi Kjolhede and Robin Shearer for all their work in researching, purchasing and planting the front flower beds. They look wonderful! Because they came in under budget, the board approved another $30.00 for the purchase of flowers for the entrance beds. Also approved was $22.00 for a replacement tree to be planted in the common area in front of unit #5830. By the way, the questionable dead tree along the East wall has been removed.
*Information on the roadway resealing and fire regulations is still being sought and will be presented next month.
New Business:
*Some upstanding individual(s) decided to remove the One-Way sign from the rear of the complex. The Board approved the purchase of a replacement.
*If for some reason it becomes necessary for you to have the primary water main turned off, please contact any Board member a day or two in advance so that arrangements can be made.
*Information concerning an annual rebate from SRP available to occupants living in our complex surfaced during the meeting. This rebate is given due to the fact that the power we use partly is produced by SRP. The rebate forms are generally sent out during the first couple months of the year. These rebates are not retroactive and it's too late for last year They're worth about $200.00 so be on the lookout, generally during February.
*The General Meeting will be scheduled for sometime in January. This meeting is an annual event in which owners and tenants are welcome and urged to attend to discuss any issues that are brought to the table. One issue that needs to be addressed is a change in the by-laws that call for an annual outside audit of the books. Although important, the charge can run from $3-5,000 and because of that has not been done in the past. An audit procedure needs to be put in place and will be discussed. Please begin giving thought to this and other issues you wish to discuss. If you wish a copy of the by-laws, contact any board member.
**Pet Owners-It is your responsibility to clean up after your dog. It is part of the CC&R's and the neighborly thing to do. If you're not already doing so, start tomorrow!
The next meeting is scheduled for December 13th at 7:30. Hope you had a safe and fat free Thanksgiving!
Bits of Info: Wood burning restrictions in effect
A new county law limits residential wood-burning when a high pollution advisory is in effect. The ordinance runs through Feb. 29 and is designed to help prevent violations of federal air quality and health standard during the time carbon monoxide and/or particulate levels are expected to be unhealthful. Not included are barbecue devices, fire pits and mesquite grills.
Anyone violating the ordinance will be issued a warning. Violators who continue after the warning will be guilty of a civil offense and fined $100.00.
